DESCRIPTION:The Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park is located on the southern (eastern) end of the salt marsh. It provides views into some of the tidal wetlands in that area\, as well as the area where Franklin Creek enters the marshland. \n\n\nFriday\, March 6\, 2026 ~ 8:30 am – 10:30 am \nTarget Birds:\n\nCurlew\nDucks\nTeal\nEgrets\nGodwit\nGulls\nHerons\nRaptors\nKilldeer\n& Others\n\nDirections:\n\nDriving from the North on Hwy 101:\nExit Linden Avenue off ramp\nTurn right and follow Linden Avenue towards the ocean\n\n\nDriving From the South on Hwy 101:\nExit Casitas Pass Road off ramp (Exit 86A)\nTurn left on Casitas Pass Road\nTurn right on Carpinteria Avenue\nTurn left on Linden Avenue towards the ocean\n\n\nFor All:\nFrom Linden Avenue\, turn right on Sandyland Road\nAt the end of Sandyland Road is the Nature Park Entrance\nPark on the street we will meet at the park entrance\n\nMap Here -or- Google Map \nOther Information:\n\nBring water  & snack\nWear comfortable shoes\nBinoculars a must (borrow ours if you need to)\nSpotting scopes are not to useful\n\nTrip Coordinator:\n\nKarl Weis\nContact Karl for information or questions
