SUMMARY:Friday Bird Walk – Tucker's Grove
DESCRIPTION:Nestled between Goleta and Santa Barbara\, just above Cathedral Oaks Road\, is Tucker’s Grove. A popular park and oak woodland\, it is the main access to San Antonino Canyon Park\, whose main trail follows San Antonino Creek. The park attracts many birds as parks do\, but has the added bonus of having a long riparian corridor along the creek. One never knows what avian species will be found here. \nFriday\, April 10\, 2026 ~ 8:30 am – 10:30 am \nTarget Birds: \n\nCooper’s Hawk\nTowhees\nAmerican Robin\nLesser Goldfinch\n& Others\n\nDirections: \n\nFrom Hwy 101\nTake Exit 103\, Turnpike Road off-ramp.\nTurn towards the mountains on Turnpike Road.\nCross Cathedral Oaks Rd and enter Tucker’s Grove Park.\nWe will park and meet near the playground/restroom area.\nMap Here – or – Google Map\n\nOther Information: \n\nBring water & a snack\nWear comfortable shoes\nBinoculars are a must (borrow ours if you need to)\nSpotting scopes are not too useful\n\nTrip Coordinator: \n\nKarl Weis\nContact Karl for information or questions
