SUMMARY:Trail Volunteer Day - Hot Springs Canyon Trail
DESCRIPTION:Volunteers of all experience levels are invited to learn about trail restoration while working to improve conditions on Hot Springs Canyon Trail\, such as clearing overgrown vegetation\, removing graffiti\, and clearing drainage features. Tools\, instruction\, and lunch will be provided! \nRSVPs are required for this event! To RSVP\, contact Eric Ullrich\, City of Santa Barbara Parks Supervisor\, at (805) 564-5439 or EUllrich@SantaBarbaraCA.gov \nSCHEDULE AND LOCATION\n8:30 a.m. Meet at Cold Spring Elementary for safety orientation and instruction\n9:00 a.m. Depart for trail worksites\n1:00 p.m. Return for a picnic to celebrate your hard work! \nPARKING\nParking is available in the lot on Cold Spring Rd\, with a cross street of Sycamore Canyon. \nTRAILS\nHot Springs Canyon Trail \nSAFETY\nVolunteers must attend the safety orientation provided at the start of the day to participate in trail work. Tasks will be assigned based on experience and skill level. \nWHAT TO WEAR\nSturdy closed-toed shoes\, long sleeves\, and long pants to protect from poison oak \nWHAT TO BRING\nWater\, sunscreen\, snacks\, gloves\, and a bike helmet \nPARTNERS\nThis event is held in partnership with Santa Barbara County\, the US Forest Service\, the Montecito Trails Foundation\, the Los Padres Forest Association\,  and the Sage Trail Alliance. \n \n
