DESCRIPTION:Join the Land Trust for Santa Barbara County on a casual walk through monarch butterfly habitat! \nWestern monarch butterflies come to Ellwood Mesa\, Goleta\, and other butterfly groves in coastal California\, where they spend the winter between November and February each year. Learn about their life’s journey while enjoying beautiful coastal and mountain views. After visiting the eucalyptus grove\, we’ll follow the footpaths through the Ellwood Mesa and learn about the coastal grasslands while keeping our eyes peeled for birds and other wildlife. \nWe’ll be walking on level to slightly hilly terrain. Total walking mileage for this event is 2-3 miles. No bathrooms or water are available on site. Street parking is available on Coronado Drive. Bringing a pair of binoculars is encouraged! \nCoronado Butterfly Preserve\, The Land Trust for Santa Barbara CountyGoleta\, CA \nSaturday\, Mar 21 from 9 am to 11:30 am\n\nGet outside with us! The Land Trust offers a number of free\, guided public hikes and other outdoor experiences around Santa Barbara County. Join us for a volunteer day\, explore beautiful places\, and learn how you can support conservation work in your community!

SUMMARY:Cachuma Lake Recreation Area Nature Walks
DESCRIPTION:Reservations are required by calling (805) 688-4515. \nFirst come\, first served. Available for ages 3 and older. No pets\, please. Free to campers or free with the $10 park entrance fee for day-use visitors. There are also miles of trails for self-guided hikes within the park. Trail maps are available at the Main Gate. \nPrivate guided walks outside of these times are also available depending upon staff availability and have a $30 group fee.
