Welcome to the Healthy People Healthy Trails Calendar of Events. Please check back with us each month to learn more about events in our community that promote an active lifestyle. Read each description carefully and visit the sponsors’ website for more information. Most events are free, but some have a fee or request a donation. The level of difficulty for each event varies. Check with the event leader if the level of difficulty is not clearly stated or if you have questions about the event.

Wildflower Hike
The Wildflower Hike on Coreopsis Hill (in the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes), is scheduled for Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 9 am to noon.

Join us for a bilingual Trek on Saturday, April 1st, from 9:30 am to 12 pm at Orcutt Hills Open Space for a 2 or 3-mile hike while we explore the trails of Orcutt, ending with some snacks at Orcutt Community Park.

The Preserve is in a magnificent canyon located on the Gaviota Coast. Free nature hikes with knowledgeable docents are held at 10:00 am on Saturday and Sunday of the weekends when the Preserve is open to the public: first and third full weekends.
Find out more »Carpenteria to Mondo’s Beach – CMT Stage 15-3 Hike
We're section hiking the California Missions Trail (CMT) and you're invited to come along. Stage 15 of the CMT is from the Santa Barbara Mission to the Ventura Mission. We are hiking the 30.1-mile-long stage by breaking it into four segments over 4 days.

Nestled between Goleta and Santa Barbara just above Cathedral Oaks Road is Tuckers Grove. A popular park and oak woodland it is the main access to San Antonino Canyon Park whose main trail follows San Antonino Creek. The park attracts many birds as parks.

Community members of all ages are invited to bring their kites to Rotary Centennial Park located at 2625 South College Drive for the annual Free Family Kite Festival.
