Please join us in celebrating a new exhibit at the Wildling Museum of Art and Nature. The exhibition, Art from the Trail: Exploring the Natural Beauty of Santa Barbara County, is inspiring visitors to the museum to get outdoors. The Wildling Museum, in partnership with Healthy People Healthy Trails, is working to raise awareness of the wealth of trails in Santa Barbara County and to inspire visitors and community members to explore them, while encouraging a healthier lifestyle.
The exhibit runs all summer long and well into the fall. Over 30 paintings from a dozen locations around the County of Santa Barbara are featured at the museum until the exhibit ends on October 3, 2021. Trails highlighted in the show span the county from Carpinteria Bluffs, Goleta’s Lake Los Carneros, and Ellwood Mesa, to La Purisima Mission Trails, among others.
“Igniting an interest in our environment through art is at the heart of the Wildling Museum’s mission,” says Stacey Otte-Demangate, Executive Director at the Wildling Museum. “We’re excited to be partnering with Healthy People Healthy Trails to energize our community to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor resources we have available to us here in Santa Barbara County.”
In support of the exhibit, we are providing maps to eight of the locations where the artists set up their easels.
