FRANKLIN TRAIL
Description
FRANKLIN TRAIL: Strenuous 10.4 miles hike with an elevation gain of 1700' Hike a moderate pace and stop halfway for lunch and snacks, returning to the trailhead between 2-3pm. We may follow the trail to the top for another 3 miles (16 miles round trip).
This is a long hike and good physical conditioning is recommended. Children under 18 must be with a parent. Wear hiking shoes/boots, bring at least 2 liters of water, snacks, and personal first aid. Rain cancels.
Note early start time. Those coming from the south can meet at Carp High School parking lot at 9:00.
