Urban Creeks Stroll — San Antonio Creek Trail!

Description

Join the Land Trust for a creek stroll celebrating Santa Barbara Creek 2024 on Thursday, September 26th, 2024, from 1 pm - 3 pm as we experience the wonders of nature by exploring the shaded woodland path on the San Antonio Creek Trail in Tucker’s Grove County Park. In our discovery walk, we will tune our senses to the natural world and explore answers to questions that nature evokes in us to help develop a greater sense of wonder of nature around us. We will pay special attention to plants and animals and their relationship with creeks.

This slow-paced, 1-2 mile family-friendly walk is on fairly level terrain. There are multiple stops and interactive activities throughout this event. Restroom and water are available at the dedicated parking lot. Trail is a combination of shaded and exposed, with minor elevation gains. There are a few creek crossings, so good hiking shoes recommended. Please no dogs on this hike.

Land Trust Treks are a free, public series of guided hikes for the community to explore scenic Santa Barbara County and to meet your local Land Trust. This event is in partnership with Santa Barbara Creek Week 2024 , an annual celebration of our creeks, watersheds, and the ocean.
