Summary
“Snakes, Science, and Sedgwick” | Join Hayley Crowell and her colleagues on an easy walk within a mile of the field station to locate and observe rattlesnakes safely.
Description
The walk will be followed by a lecture in the Tipton Meeting House. Hayley will present her project, “Predicting the Effects of Climate Change on Thermal Ecology and Energy Budgets of Snakes.”
Hayley Crowell is a M.S. student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo studying the ecophysiology of rattlesnakes for her thesis.
There is a suggested donation of $20 pp in support of outreach efforts at the Reserve. Class size limited to 40 people.
Participants must wear long pants and closed-toed shoes, preferably leather or other reinforced material (not mesh).
